Staff were helpful and very polite and friendly. The hotel is basic with a straightforward menu but perfect for a stop over on the way to the ferry. Good breakfast, served promptly at our pre-ordered time. Found Newton Stewart a little down at heel, but we didn’t walk very far past the supermarket.

Really friendly Staff.
Restaurant very classy and excellent food with a good variety.
I was leaving very early the next morning, a lovely wee bag of treats was waiting at reception.

The hotel was very comfortable and had a lovely homely atmosphere. The staff couldn’t do enough for us. We chose to have our meals in the bar and could not fault the food. The staff also coped well with the COVID restrictions. Would definitely recommend to anyone.
