This is a very nice hotel with a warmly decorated and comfortable lobby. The room was very nice and extremely, The room was small, which in NYC is expected and totally fine with me. I have never seen such an extensive mini bar! Nothing “mini” about it! Coffee in the lobby from 7-11. Neighborhood is great! Walkable to everywhere! I will definitely stay here again!!

Staff did not inform me of food or beverage credit on Expedia. Reminded them and they still forgot to put it on bill then had to remind again at checkout. Also did not inform me of any Expedia benefits

The Staff were the best! The room was excellent very big! The area was. My only suggestion is to put a Nespresso machine in the room. Even though they offer coffee on the lobby it’s not the same to open your eyes and have it in your bed. I would definitely return.

We had a wonderful stay at The James Hotel. The staff was amazing. Our room was very spacious for NYC and the location was fantastic. We would definitely stay here again.

Good option in Chelsea / Murray Hill area. Charming historical exterior, free happy hour every day (wine only!), spotlessly clean. Our queen room was a decent size for New York (i.e. on the small side anywhere else). Bath and shower a bit basic for a property that calls itself "luxury."

Room was super noisy, no proper insolation in the windows. No meeting rooms to use in order to make calls or work. Hot water take forever to start running. Bottom line - not worth the hype and significantly less worth the money compared to my last visit there ~5 years ago.
