This is the worst stay I have ever had. Sink bowl was dirty, light in bathroom not turning on many times and light fixture broken, floor not cleaned enough before check-in. Door locked and also door and very bad condition. They had at least six other rooms available that night and then they would not let us transfer because we used Expedia. Pillows and sheets were very unsanitary and we could not sleep on them the maintenance even brought in new pillows and then brought bug spray to the room and was spring the room. We were breathing it in the whole night. The vent from the heat and air was never changed and probably years and we were breathing in filthy recycled air and the vent had dust around the vent. We were on the phone with Expedia from the minute we walked in the room for over an hour and 20 minutes trying to get a refund. After 11 PM, 6 Hour Drive nine-year-old who was overly tired and wasn't allowed to sit on the bed yet nowhere else to go we felt defeated and did not have the will or energy to do more that night with the abusive staff.

We had a great stay, easy to get to all sites. We moved from our original room which was not ready. Optional room was small but they moved us to our original room for the last part of our stay. Staff was very friendly.

Property was worn down, but the location was great and the rate as well, it’s a give and take.

Hotel staff are super nice. However the hotel is old and dated. The floor board in the bathroom was popping up and I stubbed my toe causing it to bleed, the shower fixture is broken and peeling, the tub is cracked, the toilet handle is broken and the toilet just keeps running which is very loud. Overall wouldn’t stay here again and I wouldn’t waste the money if I were you.

Update needed all over, outdated furnitures are beds are very uncomfortable

SoHo 54 was a great find! The price was affordable, the staff helpful, and our room was large and clean. I hesitated for a couple of steps as I approached the front door — it was a small indentation in the building wall and the street was a little dark. My concerns evaporated the moment I stepped inside and I’ll make this my go-to hotel for future trips to NYC.

Room was booked as DeLuxe with Soho View, was explained that those are rooms from floor 2 to 16, was given a room with a view to a building wall, came back and ask for the room I booked and they said they didn’t have one, that they have a different rate room at floor 16 with the view but more expensive. I needed up paying the difference for a room at 16th floor and the view, something that I was under the impression I already paid for. They should honor the room category booked. They didn’t and make me pay more. Be aware.

Hello, thank you for your feedback Jose. Please note, the room type you booked for are on the floors 2-12 but your actual room is accommodated based on availability on the ay of arrival. The higher floor kings from 14-18 is a difference price so in order to upgrade you have to pay a difference. I hope this information will clear any confusion. Have a nice day.
