Our experience with this hotel was wonderful! With all honesty we came in with low expectations because of the bad reviews but we couldn’t have been more wrong. The staff was fantastic! Very kind and understanding. Latrice (I may have spelled that wrong, sorry girl) at the front desk deserves a raise! She was so courteous and understanding, just all around amazing! My family adored her. So to address some of the bad comments that scared us-> no the pool isn’t disgusting and impossible to swim in. It seemed clean and well maintained and my family enjoyed it for the 20 minutes we got in haha! Thanks Louisiana weather.. Yes, one of the elevators is down- but everyone seemed to manage JUST FINE! And considering there was a huge amount Of people there for a bikers event ! Id say if you’re visiting- you’ll also be fine with just the one! The breakfast wasn’t amazing but considering it was free to the guest I definitely felt it shouldn’t have been dogged so badly. The staff definitely kept breakfast stocked up and ready to go! We did have to move rooms because I’m clumsy af and almost broke my leg in the bathroom getting out of the shower, in the process I damaged their shower rod and wall where it was attached at… sooooo embarrassing but they relocated us to a different room so they could repair it and they were incredibly kind about it! My only complaint was about that first room. Room 510 - the A/C had a little bit of mold growth .. too be expected with the humidity in that room

What used to be a nice hotel is now run-down and dirty. Only 1 (of 2) elevators working, slippery floors with thrash thrown about, especially in the entryway. 6th Floor: Ceiling water damage by elevator, staff supply room door open with supplies disheveled about, hallway reeks of mildew, cardboard covering what should have been a fire extinguisher! Rm: mostly OK, surfaces had uneven cleaning, toilet rocked/moved when used, sink drain inoperable, tub dripped water with water shut off.

They didn’t have bath covers and vents are not working

I am very sorry you did not have a positive experience while staying at our hotel. We are in the process of renovating and improving the hotel and I can understand the frustration that this can cause. the exhaust system is one area that is being worked on and will be much improved. I hope you will come back in the future and experience the changes we have made.

Can´t use the pool (the water was green). The only ice machine that works was on floor 5. The milk in the breakfast buffet was sour. The safe in the room didn´t have batteries.

The front desk staff were very friendly, but this hotel was disgusting. There was blood in different spots in our bathroom, mold growing everywhere, and the carpet in the room felt wet and left your feet/socks black on the bottom. No fans in the bathroom either so it was unbelievably humid, and the room and bedding was ALWAYS damp. The front desk staff gave us a new room after we found the blood, but the next room wasn’t much cleaner. The hotel is pretty isolated, I would highly recommend staying in a hotel down in the French quarter or anywhere closer to the hot spots of New Orleans.
