Not friendly
Posted 30 Jul 2022 on HotelsLots of other places you can stay in the area. Not friendly or warm as you'd expect from a b&b. If you're a busy tourist that takes likes to advantage of the long summer days, choose a place with more flexibility. This place runs like a school dormitory.

We have no problem once we are contacted in advance, if a guest for whatever reason cannot make the Check In time. We clearly state this under our Check- In policy. Call us if you are going to be delayed and we will be happy to accommodate you..
However when a Guest arrives after 11.00pm without any contact having been made to the B & B, then made their way into a private secure parking area, by non consent and was generally a nuisance, at this late hour, with no apology , I would suggest that you would find it hard to get a welcome at any accommodation provider. in Ireland.

Dangerous, aggressive staff
Posted 10 Dec 2019 on HotelsTerrible stay. Owner was really rude. Room is very small for the price and they turn off the hot water in the evenings and after 11 am. Even when the hot water is on the setting must be very low because it was just lukewarm. It was torture to try to take shower and when we tried to communicate this they were really rude. I am surprised they are listed on Hotels.com, not professional at all! Besides the small room they also put such a tinny useless TV that is embarrassing, better not to have it. Very inflexible about arrival times, owner was verbally aggressive when we arrived “late” (meaning 9.30pm), I was scared so definitely a dangerous place to stay if travelling alone.

When you made your booking you will have been aware of our Check In Times 3pm to 8pm. Advance notice required for Check In after 9pm.
You arrived after 9pm without sending us a quick Text Message, email or a phone call to say that you would be late arriving, in fact we presumed that you were not coming.
On arrival you were welcomed and informed of where you could get food or a snack in the local area at that time.
Next morning you arrived down after breakfast was finished and the breakfast room was in the process of being cleaned. Again you were made to feel welcome by my Husband, who showed you to a table and I personally cooked for you a Full Irish Breakfast, with Coffee. You even requested a second large pot of coffee which I made for you and at this stage it was after 11.00 am which was Check Out time. When you eventually left the breakfast room to go up stairs we presumed that you were getting your bags to check out. Instead you started to have showers that went on for a further considerable time.
Your partner then arrived down stairs nearer to 12.00pm requesting more water. I informed him that all our water and heating is on all the time and is controlled by timers. As it was way past Check Out we would be obliged if you could both vacate the room.
When you eventually left after midday you were most rude.
We welcomed you on arrival even though you arrived late with no prior warning.
We provided you with a Full Breakfast even though you arrived downstairs after breakfast was finished
You checked out over an hour after Check Out time.
I fell that we were very patient towards your total disregard for our House Policies.
