I picked Adoba Naubinway because it is directly on my route home from vacation, so it was super convenient, as well as reasonably-priced. I am pleasantly surprised how clean and comfortable it is. I wish there were a few more dining options on a Monday evening, but that is typical for the UP. I will definitely stay here again!

What we didn't appreciate: 1. Check in was done through text AFTER our credit card was billed 2. We were advised via a second text there was a $30.00 USD pet fee. NO WHERE on Expedia or Adoba's website does it mention the fee. It only states "Pet Friendly" (this would be an appropriate place to insert your fee instead of using text...it feels like a cash grab to us especially whennational chains charge only $12) 3. The only security was a chain lock 4. The room was not well lit at all 5. Hot water was inconsistent 6. The fridge was not turned on 7. The curtains were not heavy material 8. This is a MOTEL not a hotel What we appreciated: 1. Leaving

It’s convenient to be able to bring your pet and we take the time to deep clean the room after you and your pet depart. All normal things. We also appreciate people like you leaving as well since we do not like mad and sad folks that come up on vacation! Enjoy your stay elsewhere hopefully you find that free place that does not charge you to bring your pet!

Motel was pretty much as advertised. Room was clean and comfortable. Bed was comfortable. It’s still winter up here, so heat was off (we only made reservation 30 minutes before arrival) but room heated up quickly. There was a reasonable pet fee charge that Expedia had not listed, but still total room cost was ok.

Our annual vacations are always a delightful experience because we choose to stay at the Adoba Hotel. The amenities and services provided by the Adoba are top-notch and leave us feeling relaxed. The cleanliness of the rooms and common areas is impressive, and the staff is courteous and helpful. We have never encountered any issues during our stays and always leave feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. We highly recommend the Adoba Hotel for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.".".

Ore first room was freezing, 50 degrees, and the heater was only putting out the faintest of warmth. The second room set at 60 and the heater was better but still took quite a while to warm the tiny room. If you know you have reservations turn on the heat! Particularly in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan in February. The shower took so long to warm up in the morning that we almost gave up but, finally got hot but, still no pressure. The parking lot even in this winter with little snow was ice covered and treacherous. The only outlet that was accessible was outfitted with a plug to increase the number of outlets so there was 2 useable if you unplugged the fridge and microwave. The breakers in the room are ancient and we were glad the heater ran almost nonstop because when it kicked on, the lights would flicker. And last but not least someone had taken a poo in the bathroom and, it required 3 flushes before our unwanted guest would leave us.

We are sorry you felt the need to write a bad and quite frankly untruthful review after getting you in with your last minute reservation 3 times. Yes we do not hear our rooms at 75 when they are empty during the winter. We keep them at a normal temp and warm them for all reservations coming in that afternoon. The rooms do not take very long to warm up. You stated you were in the room 3 minutes before you requested a new room. You also were moved to a room with a PTAC unit immediately when asked. You were happy with that in the text because you loved PTAC units. We can not control weather here and with all the freezing and thawing and coming off a sold out weekend we can’t always control the parking lot. I also told you that I was moving you to the cabin side. Our breakers are fine and actually work great for the age of the building! We tolerate a lot in our slow season and with the strange weather this winter we try to stay open for travelers like you. Unfortunately it’s guests like you that we also do not like to be open in the winter! I’m sorry that you are such a negative person and we hope you find your perfect place. Please do not make it here in the future! Good luck!

Worked out well for us for the event we attended. It was nice they left the key in the room for us and texted that it was there and room was ready. There isn’t enough plugs in the room. Shower was cold. Did not get hot at all. But other then that will stay again.
