Good location for bus transportation, food and shopping ( e.g. Uniglo is across the street. Property design very contemporary and innovative, e.g., using an assortment of magnetic tiles to message daily housekeeping room cleaning service requests. Buffet breakfast included steak and eggs.
Downside was very small room size without a chair or table.

Very well presented hotel in a fantastic location of Kyoto. Very short walk out of the hotel and your in the little kyoto alleys filled with food and little bars. Staff were very friendly and accomodating. Would definately recommend staying at this hotel

The hotel is located in a great area; close to restaurants, shopping, train stations. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We asked for help with making dinner reservations and they were very accommodating. Rooms were clean with good soundproofing.

In the middle of Old Kyoto, great location. Does not serve dinner during week.

We recommend this hotel for all the right reasons for travelers.
Close to everything, clean, comfortable, quiet, and a good bass camp. It is worth noting that most accommodations in Japan/Asia and Europe are smaller than North American accommodations.
When we travel, we head out early in the morning and come back late at night, so the hotel is our resting spot for the evening.
