We stayed here for one night and the staff was amazing. For us the location was great as it was very close to my daughter’s apartment.

Racism at Candeo towards Americans! If you are American or look like you could be, it would be in your best interest to stop and read this review. I am a platinum member with Expedia and this is the first time in 20 years that I have written a bad review.
I booked a hotel room for over a week at this hotel. The OWNER, at least she claimed she was, showed an obvious and deliberate prejudice towards me when all I asked was to please ask the neighbors to not yell at 1am in the morning. For 4 nights I went up and spoke to her, and for four nights she laughed and handed me the phone number to the police, the proceeded to ignore me. When I cancelled the rest of my nights at the hotel and lost my money, she smiled and watched while I left.
Insult to injury! I contacted Candeo corporate offices via email 5 times, in hopes for some understanding to what took place at this one hotel and this lady calling herself the OWNER. It’s been 2 weeks and nobody had replied back. Because they did not reply back, I am assuming that they were okay with her treatment of foreigners that were not Asian. Racism should not be experienced ever, I hope that this spares future travelers the experience I had.

The only bad point was that it advertises 4 people max per room. Ot is not truth. It only fits comfortably 3. The last bed next to the window which leaks so it is cold to sleep there. I have 2 horrible sleep nights. My two children and wife in the king size bed. No space there for me nor in the floor. They are small rooms.

Must try hotel

The reception desk is located at higher floor with great view n brillant nature light. even only sitting there, can enjoy so much. Roof top onsen is fantastic, must try. I n my husband enjoyed so much. Of course, sometimes a lot of ppl. Location is just right to china town.

Away from the buzz - quiet but cozy
Posted 3 Dec 2023 on HotelsThe onzen was great and it was convenient to get to all major tourists attractions using the tram (Sevice #1) which was on a parallel street to the hotel. Chinatown was at the doorstep - turn right (though not exciting at all) and there were many shops nearby too - turn left.
