"This was in a great location, close to everything and walkable. We did not; however, enjoy our room. Check the listing carefully because our room was incredibly smaller than we imagined, had poor lighting, and a really uncomfortable bed. If you just need a place to sleep, this could be for you. If you spend ANY time in your room, you might want to look elsewhere."

"The staff is wonderful, the place is dated but clean. Its in a good location for walking in Old Town. Do not get a "suite" or any other room with an open window or balcony if you want to sleep at all. Also dont plan to enjoy a shower unless you like corner micro showers circa 1970's mobile home. The people and location make the place just dont waste money on the "suite" or room with a window and adjust your expectations for Motel type towels etc. The street noise is constant and lasted almost all night. We were disappointed to stay a night before our cruise and get no sleep. "

"A "quaint" old hotel in Old San Juan, kept up with very well. If you want hundreds of souvenir shops to walk in and out of it's very convenient. Restaurants and bars seemed to be harder to find. No real amenities at the hotel, did not see anyone using the hot baths or jacuzzi. Coffee in the lobby near the front door in the morning, had to get a hair dryer from the front desk. It served it's purpose for the overnight stay."
