Great hospitality
Posted 26 Jun 2022 on HotelsI needed a last minute stay whilst on a motorcycle tour through Europe. I turned up as the kitchen was closing and the manager asked the chef if he would stay on to cook me a meal. I’m not fussy and let the chef cook what he had on hand, a selection of local cured meats, foie gras and crusty bread for an appetiser and an amazing dish of chicken, mushrooms and a white wine sauce. Truly a stay to remember if only for one night.

Good comfortable stay with an excellent meal

The accommodation side of the hotel is tired and need of a reform but I found my room ok for what I needed. Good shower (over bath), separate toilet and good bed. The room had a balcony with outdoor lounge seats that overlooked the stunning landscape.
The restaurant was excellent. I had the trout menu which was delicious but there were other offerings that poked equally delicious. Great local wines. The service was terrific and attentive.
