Posted 18 Sep 2023 on HotelsPremises very much in need of lots of TLC. Twin rooms cramped and right on the top floor, accessible only via several flights of rather steep stairs. There is no lift. The beds however are very comfortable. Small Shower cubicle with plentiful hot water. Unfortunately the temperature control was stuck solid on hot
There are no evening meals on Mondays and Tuesdays.
Breakfast menu very limited, Full English, Eggs Benedict, Toast or American Pancakes with Maple syrup. No cereal or fruit, just orange juice, tea or coffee. The Breakfast lady was very pleasant and very helpful with her local knowledge. Overall not impressed and won't be returning until premises and facilities improve

Satisfactory, but ...
Posted 1 Jul 2023 on HotelsTypical country hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food (dinner and breakfast) was nicely served but the fryer is overused, so wouldn't excite Michelin man. The bedroom was clean and well decorated, the bed very comfortable and quiet although the windows wouldn't open. The hotel could do with a maintenance man a couple of days a week, the toilet seat was loose, the corridor paintwork needs touching up and the corridor/ stair carpets need replacing or at least cleaning to name but a few.
