The hotel Faubourg was very central to downtown located right in Hôtel de Ville area. Perfect for walking around or getting around by metro. The receptionist was polite and friendly and even changed our booking for free and went above and beyond to do this which was very appreciated as we booked off Expedia. The area can be a little sketchy at night but I find that’s just overall Montreal downtown at night. As for cleanliness, the hotel was clean for the most part. There was rust at the bottom of the shower that we covered with a shower mat that they provided. This hotel definitely needs a renovation but it does have everything you need! The bed was 10/10 comfy. Merci Hôtel Faubourg! À la prochaine :)

What I liked about the property was how close it was to old Montreal. What i dislike was outside the hotel lots of panhandlers. Otherwise, good location.

The staff are nice and courteous. The breakfast is not bad,but it will be better if they can change or alternate sausage with ham/ bacon etc. the toaster should be replace with a bigger and faster one,to avoid long waiting and lined up.
Overall, this is a good place to stay... grocery store nearby, Chinatown is also walkable as well as the Notre Dame Basilica.
