Special, unique, outstanding experience

Posted 2 Mar 2018
Pros: The interiors were fantastic, lovely view of the garden, great location to visit the highlights of the city, delicious breakfast, friendly staff.
Location: The Old Town is nearby with museums, shops, restaurants. There are residential leafy neighbourhoods to explore, and the waterfront is close by.
We loved everything about Casa Roberto, including Roberto and his staff! The experience is unique as you feel as though you are staying in a home rather than a hotel. The interiors are beautifully designed, sophisticated, thoughtful, intriguing, and fun. The period architecture is carefully preserved, while adding a contemporary twist. There are so many wonderful details to discover!

Fantastic stay

Posted 13 Jan 2018 on Hotels
We had a fantastic stay at the Casa because Roberto & his team go out of their way to make you feel welcome and have a pleasant stay. I only wish we would have had more time there to enjoy the private terrace as part of our room - 1 night was just not enough. Highly recommend staying here for its comfort, style (the house and rooms are very tastefully decorated), service and location. We hope to be back!

A bad B & B

Posted 9 Nov 2017
We immediately left. We didn't ask for a refund. We were just happy to get out. If your idea of a nice room is exposed wiring, electrical conduit and improvised stairs this may be the place for you. Roberto himself seems like a nice guy. Maybe the place eventually will be livable. Right now I'd rather stay in an unfinished attic.

Dear Linda and Ron, it is a shame that you did not understand the essence of the house considering that we only have great reviews. It is very strange because Casa Roberto for his original decoration still to be published in the most important interior design magazines (HOME DEPARTURES, LIVING, ELLE DECOR, etc.). I am very sorry for you and that the house has caused you a big shoc ... thank you for publishing your personal vision. Take care Roberto

Charming stay in Montevideo!

Posted 8 Nov 2016
Pros: Unique style, charming atmosphere, location, super friendly owner and late breakfast.
Casa Roberto is a unique, charming, boutique hotel right in the heart of Montevideo. Roberto and his staff have been extremely nice and supportive. The rooms are amazing, each one has its own particular style, they are elegant but at the same time surprising, exactly how you see them in the pictures. The building has been renovated but in a gentle way that has preserved the original decorations and characteristics. Last but not least: breakfast is served until 12 am, with a selection of homemade or local products.

What a lovely and special place to stay.

Posted 7 Nov 2016
Pros: The owner, the staff, the building itself, the room, the breakfast, the location.
Location: Great location. Public amenities and everything one can look for are just a few steps away.
Staying at Casa Roberto for only one night is my only regret. I wish I could have stayed longer. Everyone was so warm and caring , since the welcome all the way through my short staying. The owner is a marvelous host, as well as the whole staff. The building is just amazing, full of beauty and history. The room was so unique and furnished with such a good taste, so clean, so spotless. All the comforts anyone can imagine were there. The patio is one of the places anyone would stay and relax, either in the morning or at night before going to bed. And what a great breakfast I had. I couldn't have asked for anything more. Even the surrounding area was so beautiful and everything so accessible. I am definitely going back there when I will visit Montevideo next time. I would suggest Casa Roberto to anyone, I am pretty sure that I would receive a big thank you for doing so. Thank to you all at Casa Roberto.
