fresh clean rooms, and comfortable beds. Lovely big bar with a huge real fireplace, very inviting. Good pub grub. Excellent breakfast, quality of fare, far better than expected.
This will be my first choice to stay when I'm in that area again.

Bad service, very rude
Posted 27 Sep 2022 on HotelsA terrible experience. I had no option but to rearrange my stay due to the Queens funeral. I phoned to try to come to an amicable/ shared arrangement on payment and a rebooking. The wife of the owner was rude and patronising and refused to make any concession at all insisting on charging me full prices despite the circumstances. I am all for supporting local and small businesses but for some reason this owner is too arrogant to think they need to rely on repeat business or I wouldn’t have been spoken to in the way I was. I wish them every success but I will never stay here again.
