"Everything was great"

"Great kaseiki dinner. Our best meal in Japan. This ryokan oozes charm and the staff is wonderful"

"We had a good stay. Breakfast was lovely. "

"Very friendly staff and nice cosy comfortable room. Breakfast has sufficient spread of western and japanese food"

"Amazing place to stay in Nara, located right in the Park but in a quiet area. Delicious traditional Japanese dinner and breakfast, they were even able to accommodate vegetarian requests. Sleeping on the tatami was special!! Very attentive and kind staff, the only note is that they don't speak English so make sure to have your phone with you with Google translate, especially at the restaurant. The matcha tea ceremony was cute but very rushed (10 minutes in total)."

"A hidden gem in Nara. We had a great time there. Thank you."

"The space for what you pay for is well worth it . Friendly staff and amazing food ."

"Very nice hotel for a very reasonable price!"

"Amazing welcome Food delicious "

"Excellent Japanese style breakfast, worth to try!"

"This is one of a handful of classy historic hotels near major rural attractions in Japan. A real old fashioned high-end style and treatment that makes you think you're in the 1930s. The location is convenient to the Nara Park where the historic attractions are located. It is not in walking distance of either train station."

"Very clean, self-service property centrally located to dining, shopping and Nara Park!"

"The hotel felt more like a guest house, very clean and well stocked with good signage on how to use everything. Fantastic location, i wish we had booked more days."

"Love this hotel! The staff was so attentive. The Japanese breakfast was delicious, a true culture experience. Peaceful, Everyone was nice and the rooms were very clean. "

"EXCELLENT LOCATION. SUPER FRIENDLY STAFF. VERY GOOD PRICE, COMFORTABLE CLEAN BEDS"

"One of our favorite experiences while in Japan. The room was incredible, the staff were very accommodating, and we enjoyed the dining experience very much. Although the trek out here was a bit more of a challenge. It was well worth it. The only thing we would have changed is we wish we were able to stay an additional day. Thank you ver much"

"The hotel is in an idyllic setting facing a small body"

"Loved the onsen and the room layout. It was incredibly spacious and tidy. I loved the decor and the room amenities. The hotel is very conveniently located to the station and the deer park. The deer wander in to the hotel regularly and it’s so peaceful. We did not book breakfast as we personally prefer a western style breakfast. It would be lovely if the restaurant had more options for dining."
