Found a bug in my room ....took a picture and showed it to the front desk nothing happened. Found a dead lizard in my room....again took a picture showed it to front desk and nothing

The Oceanside Hotel is a small quaint hotel on the corner of a busy thoroughfare though it did not feel loud and busy once inside.
The high points were the room, which was well sized, and the finishes, including the bathroom and ice cold a/c.
The bathroom did have a smell, somewhat typical of this vintage building in the area. The hallway out side our door smelled heavily of pot.
What didn't work and what you did be aware of... We booked through Expedia, which is generally great. Upon arrival, there was a snafu and they insisted they Expedia cancelled our reservation, despite Expedia sending us welcome emails the day prior. Speaking to the Expedia rep enabled us to quickly resolve this, however you should be aware that there is both very limited communication between the hotel, it's off-site reservation system (possibly third party), and, as we saw it last night, any"manager" or anyone higher ranking than a front desk person to assist in the event of an issue. Again, ultimately Expedia resolved the situation, and overall the stay was good for the 12 hours we were there, but be wary of having to deal with any issue that comes up that requires the hotels assistance..

Honestly this property pleasantly surprised me. I loved the room. They were very kind to us at the front desk. Central to everything. Overall very satisfied with the price for the value. Super clean.

My only complaint, was the lack of included parking. We had to park a few blocks away and leave our vehicle with some stuff in it, hoping it would still be there tomorrow. Otherwise , everything else was good.
