Let’s start with the cons - the front desk was unavailable more often than not, and it was sometimes difficult to find the host if you had questions. Also, the tap water quality was debatable, and shower water pressure was not great. Finally, if you arrive before check-in time, you may have to wait a while in the city before you can access your room.
However, everything else about this hotel was great. Considering its location, the price was a steal. It’s right in the centre of South Beach, steps from Ocean Drive and from all sorts of restaurants and nightclubs. Rooms were regularly cleaned well. The owner (when he was available) was professional, helpful, and friendly. Overall, my stay was comfortable and clean. Aside from those minor grievances I mentioned above, this was a comfortable and affordable 2-star that met all our needs.

The entrance to the property is down an alley. There is no lobby and there was no staff to greet us. Everything was locked. When a receptionist did arrive she was extremely rude. A "refundable damage deposit " which was to be refunded to my credit card never happened. The place was left clean. Trash was even picked up and nicely packaged for easy clean up. The front gate was locked during "open" hours. I would never recommend anyone staying here. I plan a vacation to south beach every year and like to try a new art deco hotel stay... this property will definitely be on my "not return " list

Dear Mrs. Kristin Rumsey your deposit was sent to your credit card the same day you did the check out .The entrance of the hotel is secure and every guest who stay with us , have his or her own code to enter in the property. We maintain the gate closed to make the property more private and safe for all our guests of the hotel. We have a Lobby and you arrived to the hotel after midnight; consequently, you received a code to enter in your room right a way. you did not have wait for any receptionist to open your room. The next day we talked to you and you tell us that everything with the room was perfect. We wish you the best to you and your family.

My friend and I love to stay here when coming to Miami, spacious room very clean bed is comfortable has a kitchen n lots of closet space and staff is very nice.

Clean & Convenient
Posted 28 Feb 2024 on HotelsThe hotel looks like it used to be studio apartments, and will have a good size fridge and a microwave. We don't drink coffee, so I don't recall the coffee set up. The rooms are large and clean, even if they may have too many layers of paint. It's set back from the street behind a gate (open during the day) and a small path. Elevator is small and slow but enough for a couple and their luggage to make it up in one trip. There is a flight of stairs on the opposite end. Blas was friendly and thorough at check in. Stardust isn't modern or glam, but it is clean, convenient, and secure. So, it's a good choice for South Beach. Ocean Dr. a block or two away, and the ocean just a block further into the sand. All the noise is far enough away to sleep peacefully, but the hot spots are within walking distance. Security Deposit was refunded as stated, charges were all correct. We'd definitely stay there again.
Parking note: It looks like parking is limited to a few street spots. Parking anywhere on South Beach is pricey. We just Ubered from the airport, and everything was within walking distance of the hotel.

Great spot very nice people clean only the lack of onsite parking kept it from being 5 stars all around
