We couldn't get in. They said they would leave check-in info for us, but they didn't. We spent the night in our car

This is a third visit for us to Mexican Hat and this is the third hotel we have stayed in. It was hands down the best. Mexican Hat is the best place to stay if you are going to Monument Valley. The views from this hotel were great and the pool, hot top and patio area were superlative! We felt like we were in a luxurious resort! There was wonderful seating on the pool deck, and we utilized the barbecue pit and picnic tables overlooking the river. The room was very comfortable.

The room was sufficient. The bed was too hard though. The pool area was great and hearing the river down below was a nice feature.

Rooms were wonderfully clean and spacious! However, it is woefully overpriced and lack of amenities outside of the room.

Location, location, location!!! We got in late so we went to the Swingin Steak restaurant. Wyatt, our host and server was awesome. He explained that his family owner the hotel too. The steaks were done to perfection and the whole meal was great. They let us bring our own wine with no corkage fee. By the time we were done with dinner, it was dark so we checked in and park them car. The next morning I walked out to a beautiful view of the canyon. Their pool was out on the edge of the bluff. It was magic and way better than I expected.

This place doesn’t look like much on the outside but it is a hidden gem. Recently Renovated. Check out the steak pit at the sister hotel. Pool is such a nice oasis!
