The room did not match what I booked on Expedia. The staff were arguing with us. Initially we had an old, musty and stuffy room. After complaining and going to the reception twice. We were moved to a new room. The new room air conditioning was « not working « . The room was very hot.

Dear Lisa,We are sorry that the stay did not meet your needs.As for the air conditioning, unfortunately during your stay we had some inconvenience due to a strong storm that damaged much of the electrical and hydraulic component of the hotel, which compromised the operation of the air conditioning on the many floors. We are still working to restore service totlae.With regard to your accommodation, no mistake was actually made as the room you booked was a Classic room, furnished in Venetian Classic style. In fact then you were granted a free upgrade in a Superior room. However we check with the website that there are no errors in the description and especially in the portfolio of images associated with the rooms, so as to avoid inconvenience like this.I keep at your disposal for further information.Kind RegardsRiccardo FrassonResident Manager

Have to ask house keeping for tissues (bathroom & facial) even daily housekeeping was done.
Excellent location for public transportation to go to Venice.

The area doesn’t have much to offer in the evening and not many restaurants. It is close to the main areas of Venice with easy access by the train. The staff and breakfast were good.

One receiptionist shouted to us to stop us to go inside a room that store the welcoming wine but we were told by another receptionist when checking in that we are free to go there and help ourselves. This reveiptionist should be more courtesy and explained that if want we should request them to bring it to our room. Hope the staff have more training on better communication with guests not rendering guests feelng "gulity" in our case.
