Very noisy surroundings
Posted 25 Jun 2022 on HotelsNice Hotel, but what a noisy neighbourhood. A concert stand nearby at 22:30 and didn’t finish till after 0200. Then motorbikes and lots of load shouting people in the park under our balcony. Didn’t get much sleep. It’s a shame as otherwise the hotel was perfectly ok.

A good HQ for conquering Roman Merida
Posted 28 Apr 2022 on HotelsHotel Zeus is just across the road from Merida's sprawling and improved Roman archaeological park and museums. It also had ample free parking on-site. Although its restaurant next door was not yet open for 'the season,' I found a very good one a few minutes' walk down the street. The concierge spoke English and gave very helpful advice touring Spain's best-preserved Roman town, which requires at least 2 days to do it justice; so I had to stay on for another night! All in all, a fine value for the money.

The hotel is cheap. good price if you are just looking for a place to sleep and not spend a bunch of money. But, you get what you pay for. The pillows are not very nice and the sheets and blankets were not the best. Definitely old and used… but clean. The old town of Mèrida is walking distance to the hotel, but the surrounding area is not that nice of an area. Overall, I would stay there again simply for the price, but not a place I would recommend if you want a super nice place.
