Our stay was good for only 1 night. Close to Box Hill Shopping center if you're looking to stay on that side of town. About a 20 minute drive to Chadstone Shopping Center. There is parking but it's a bit of a pain to get into and out of. Service was good, easy and quick check in and check out. Pretty run of the mill booking for us.

The Chen runs on the HAPPY personality of this vietnamese lady running the front office . She will do her Best to assist customers . Thk u lady .
The Boxhill central mall is great for asian food ,thats all . This mall could invite sports goods shop to be anchor tenant !!
Add on a childrens play grd .

We spent four nights this summer. The hotel is located in a high-rise apartment building in the center of Box Hill, a major Asian community neighborhood. Excellent location within minutes walk to shopping mall, restaurants and Box Hill train/tram station. You could find almost any type of Chinese cuisines. Pubic transport is very convenient. We took train to downtown, beach and zoos. The room is a bit small for the family but it provides everything we need.

No air conditioning when temp is 37 degrees! Offered a portable fan. Didn’t even offer a room discount.

The Chen hotel was a good place to stay . The rooms were an adequate size,well sized bathrooms .
The only problem was the traffic noise was loud at the busy times. With the bedding the doona was marked and looked like it hadn't been washed in a while. The sheets were clean otherwise and there were choices of extra blankets if needed. The rooftop for sunsets almost 360 degree views.
