Lovely property. Lovely staff, friendly helpful. Easy into Sassi, 12 minutes.

I must say it was a truly delightful experience. This hotel is a hidden gem, located just a 9-minute drive away from the historical town of Matera.
The service at Masseria Santa Lucia was nothing short of exceptional; staff made us feel incredibly welcome. The attention to detail and genuine care they exhibited truly made a difference in creating a memorable experience.
One of the standout features of this hotel is the historic building itself, which exudes charm and character. The rooms, designed in a cave-like fashion, perfectly blend the historical elements with modern comfort. The attention to preserving the historical character while providing all the necessary amenities was impressive. It felt like stepping back in time while still enjoying the conveniences of contemporary accommodations.
The hotel's pool area deserves special mention as it is absolutely gorgeous.
Breakfast was included in our stay, which was delicious with a lot of options.

Almost perfect!
Posted 30 May 2023 on HotelsThe pros; the place is beautiful and the pool is fab if the weather is in your favour, especially after a day walking around the town. The room was huge and clean, very comfortable bed. The onsite restaurant is good. The staff are super helpful, friendly, and accommodating. Drinks are a good price.
The cons; the room was very warm at night and the air con only seems to blow warm air, so not the best night's sleep. Also the shower was really bad water pressure, difficult to have a good shower. Breakfast was very poor, there is a lot of room for improvement there.
