Top Martins Park Hotel Reviews
The Nickel Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"The Nickle exceeded my expectations. The staff was warm and welcoming, the decor and vibe was immaculate, the courtyard was such a nice touch— and the surrounding area was delightful. I highly recommend booking an in-room massage with Zendulgence while you’re there— it was worth every penny! We will be staying at The Nickle again! "
The Ryder Hotel
8/10 Good
"The pool had zero seats the whole time, which was the main reason we booked the hotel. The hotel was nice, but the doors never locked which was a security issue for me."
Homewood Suites by Hilton Charleston Historic District
10/10 Excellent
"Nice lobby with waters and happy hour. Great breakfast variety. Room was clean and well appointed. Location was great to walk or take trolleys.Staff were pleasant and helpful."

"The entire guest experience was too notch. Not that a guest would spend their entire stay on property, it is an option as there is no shortage of things to do!"
The Charleston Place

"The property and the staff were A++ Everything was clean and staff was very friendly and helpful."
HarbourView Inn

"A great place to stay. Centrally located with wonderful staff. This was my second stay and I was impressed, again."

Embassy Suites by Hilton Charleston Historic District
8/10 Good
"I gave this property 4 starts based upon all the aspects of a stay. People were great. Plenty of staff. Great breakfast setup. Fantastic location for a visit to Charleston's Historic District. Reasonable price. However, this property may not be for everyone. The property itself is a historic property (the citadel) remodeled into a hotel. If you are looking for a traditional hotel with lots of strategically placed windows, this property is not for you. If you are expecting interior windows overlooking the spacious atrium, there aren't any. If you have a fondness for the modern hotel room layout, this probably isn't it. And, some of the rooms are unacceptable. I am 65. First time in my life I complained about a room. Our first room (Room 200) should not be rented to anyone. Carpet was 18 inch stick down tiles that were peeling up in several locations. Walls barren. Room rather disjointed in layout as they made due with the space they had - frankly a hotel room where there should not be a hotel room. The term they used for this room was an "interior room". My advice is refuse an interior room. I suspect the 3rd floor rooms have a standard 8 foot ceiling. The other floors have 10 foot ceilings which compensates for the lack of windows. I would refuse a 3rd floor room unless 10 foot ceilings. Why 4 stars? What it has is historic charm, great staff, over-the-top breakfast and a great location."
