I’ve been here a few times, and it’s always been nice and quiet. I appreciate the way that they keep it looking vintage in the lobby.

While the vibe and ambiance inside the hotel lobby and downstairs cocktail lounge were fantastic, the room itself was not nearly as clean as I’d have hoped for the cost of the room. The mini bar (which we didn’t plan to use anyways, in fairness) was not stocked with any of the listed items, except two bottles of wine, but did have several other items clearly placed there by a previous guest. There were stains on the curtains, what looked like tissues shoved back into the box after being pulled out (unused but still?), as well as a large crack in the window of our room. Now while these things did bother me a bit, overall it was not bad enough for me to be too unhappy with the experience. The lobby is gorgeous 1920’s aesthetic, and the bar is affordable and nice, the day bartender there was so kind and helpful, we loved our Gin Rickey’s and had a good time. The free shuttle service, while an excellent amenity, ended up taking us to the wrong location 2/3 uses, only getting us to the correct place when we were headed back to the hotel. Seems great if you’re there for a Brewers game though. The area around the hotel is not the cleanest or safest area, wish we would have done more research before booking. While not a terrible location, and nothing directly happened, it’s not necessarily the most walkable area for a couple of tourists. Was told to be careful by several locals while out. Overall we had a great time in Milwaukee, but likely won’t be staying at the Ambassador again.

I didn’t like that when I came into my room. There was a drink that had been sitting on the counter top that had been left in which someone had been drinking out of. That is disgusting. The hotel also was old.

Beautiful hotel feels like you are stepping back in time to a grander time. The original fixtures, unique elevator doors the stained glass doors on the bathrooms in the lobby and the old mail posting box all add to the charm
