The hotel itself was fine. It's an older, historical hotel with old school charm and a lovely art deco decor. The hotel is clean and the staff were excellent - very friendly, professional and accommodating. They offer overnight parking with in/out privileges for $20/night - which is substantially less than what most hotels charge. While the hotel is only about a mile from true downtown Milwaukee, Fiserv Forum, the River Walk, etc, I would NOT recommend walking at night. The area is sketchy - to say the least. The room was clean and spacious albeit a bit outdated. The bed and pillows were comfortable. They have a lovely bar and restaurant and although I didn't get a chance to eat at the restaurant, I did have a late dinner at the bar and the bartender, Dino, was outstanding. All in all, I'd give the hotel 3-1/2 stars.

What a treasure. This is a step back in time. They made updates but kept the art deco style, which is spectacular! The staff is fantastic! 10 ⭐️ stars!

Great staff, everybody was very friendly and helpful. Only stayed one night but will definitely come back.
