Very nice hotel with remodeled rooms and nice amenities, including a Pickleball court and nice area overlooking the Gulf

I had a terrible experience I wish I also had pictures, there was the small cockroach around the coffee maker, the air conditioning takes up to 4 AM to cool down and when the man from "Maintenance" came in my mother was opening the balcony and he immediately said of course it wont cool down with the balcony opened he just assumed we had the door open all the way and this is why it was not cooling down. We also had towels sitting in the floor for them to piclk up since this is something that is done at all hotels and the "house keeping manager" super unprofessional screamed from the hall way that we had left a towel all dirty and we were being charged for doing this a 25$ fee cause it was going to be unable to be washed. No Microwaves in the rooms if you need to heat up a milk for your babies you need to go to the front desk, refrigerator not cooling, you need to go to the front desk for them to give you ice and one of the days I was given two cups the ones used for coffee with ice SERIOUSLY???? & to top it of you need to go get the coffee and towels needed yourself to the front desk cause the phone was not working!!!

I have stayed in this resort 4 times, we have always enjoyed our time. This time after our 3rd night 3 guest started to get sick, we noticed black mold on the ceiling of our room in many places, also in the bathroom tiles. We notified the manager and they sprayed our room with a solution to treat the mold. In conclusion black mold is very dangerous and should be treated with caution. Unfortunately everyone is still sick and we are all very disappointed with our vacation, I used to love going to this place because we fish all week and leave our boat at the marina wich is very convenient.

The grounds need a complete overhaul with cleanup and new landscaping. Why can't the old restaurant be fixed up? The pool could use a foam handle on the metal handrail into the pool. The tiki bar in back should be open every night as people went to watch the sunset. The hotel floor in our room was dirty. Filters on the air conditioners needed to be cleaned. The smell was bad that came out of the air conditioners.
