Once you figure out the parking it’s very nice. You have to park on the street across from the train tracks or at the square where the Hotel Mantova is. Then you cross under the tracks at the tunnel. Villa is 180 degree turn once you come up stairs. There is a security gate that you will need to ring the bell. After that a key will open. Room fine. Air conditioning unit in room worked well. Easy to drive across the lake into Mantova for exploring the city. Good parking to the left near the castle on the outer road.

Too close to railway line

Pros: The price was reasonable.
Cons: Could the owners negotiate some car parks in the area for exclusive use by their customers, even if a small fee was required? Provide a jug/kettle.
Location: Take-aways, supermarket, chemist, fruit shop nearby and one of the old gates into the city. Not a 'nice' area but not scary or unpleasant.
Convenient location for sight seeing so long as you are happy to walk. But not easy to find. Room nice except the carpet was a bit tired. Car parking options were too far away for comfort. And the train line too close if you are a light sleeper.

Nice stay
Posted 26 Sep 2014 on HotelsWe had perfect stay in the citadella... The room was really nice and clean. We rent bicycles in the hotel and went around the city... It was really pleasent way to know mantova and sorroundings... The staff was also very nice. If we come back to mantova we would stay there again....

Een B&B waar het ontbijt niet inclusief is. Ligt erg ver van het historische centrum en heeft weinig restaurants nabij.

Nonostante la vicinanza alla stazione, la struttura è molto tranquilla e silenziosa. Camere comode e accoglienti, colazione abbondante e ben curata, personale eccezionale per cortesia e attenzione (deliziosi con la nostra bimba di 19 mesi). Davvero consigliata, spero di poterci tornare presto!
