I enjoyed my stay at Shelburne. It’s in a perfect location, walkable to Times Square, lots of dinning options around the area. Hotel can benefit from upgrades!

Very nice size rooms for NYC. The housekeeping was fabulous. Everyone was very nice. The new restaurant is very good.

Staff was super friendly and room was upgraded. Great views from balcony and very little street noise. Only downsides were folks next door letting doors slam (loud) and there was occasionally a line for the elevator.

The smell of the room was off putting, it smelled very strongly of old carpet and carpet cleanser. The carpeting was very sticky and I had to wear socks. The rest of the room was very clean.

The room was great, when you go upto the rooms on the corridor it looks dated, could do with new external doors on the rooms to make communal areas smarter. The guy at check in was great however failed to tell me he was taking city tax off my credit card (was just told it was to guarantee the room) also did not tell us we had two free items daily from drinks counter so first day we were gasping for drinks we didn’t get any, only got told on 2nd day as a colleague was checking in and none on the last day as we were out at 5.30 am - when asked if we could have our items from the day before the lady on the desk was quite rude, when checking out this morning there was a guy behind reception shouting & swearing at someone on the phone and a few people in reception! Good base to stay for NYC sights but staff need training in customer service x

The staff was really nice and always willing to help. Our room had a kitchenette, which was perfect for meal prep for our baby.
