Close to Rockefeller Center, 5th Avenue and Cetral Park. You can walk anywhere from this hotel but the subway is a block away if you need to use it. Convenient hotel that offers great value in an otherwise expensive part of Manhattan.

Property was at an excellent location close to many things. Subway nearby. All the food and shops within a 5 minute walk that you could need. Walgreens next door. We had the corner room with the balcony, it’s well worth the price for that extra tidbit. Room is on the small side for price but plenty of space for 2 people still. Again, it’s amazing for the location and price. It was pretty quiet considering the location and proximity to all things.

Location! Across the street from Rockefeller Center is what sold me on The Jewel! The staff were very friendly, available and helpful, they got us checked in early. Clean and modern rooms, a/c worked great. Only thing I didn’t like was lack of bathroom privacy, the sliding doors aren’t great. Also felt it was pricier than other hotels near-by but its location probably is the reason.

Staff was pleasant and attentive and made it a point to remember our names. In-room furnishings could use an update. I expected a more inviting lobby, but the 2nd floor living/business area somewhat makes up for it. Superb location next to Rockefeller Center. Free purified water dispensers are a nice touch. I would stay here again.

Booked this hotel for a layover bc of the great reviews. Read til the end. Premature disappointment set in when I walked into the lobby, it was kind of drab and unimpressive, especially considering the location and rank. There’s one piece of furniture, a chaise and one desk attendant at a small podium. I can’t help but think the staff would desire more aesthetics for their shift. This area should feel more inviting. Then I arrive in the room and was surprised by the outdated furnishings. This hotel does not feel like 4 stars, more like 3. But it gets better. Beyond this immediate impression, all else was great. I got the kitchenette room and this is what raised the bar. The room was quite accommodating for my needs. Adequate space and storage, appropriate charging outlets and nothing missing. It was quiet despite being in the heart of Rockefeller Center. The location is a winner, easy access to Times Square w/o being in it, transportation and so many must sees in Manhattan. This is what trumps the downside. They have a common living room/business center which somewhat redeems the lack of a guest lobby. A few more nice touches- they have purified water stations on the floors, and a complimentary guest washer and dryer available first come first served which came in so handy for us having just wrapped up a 2-week international trip and NY was a stop on the journey back home. Overall, I would stay here again. If they updated the rooms, I would seek this location over others.

The staff, especially the front desk is amazing. The property location is awesome. Feels safe, close to major tourist spots and subways. The rooms are on the smaller side but then this is New York City. There are reusable water bottles available on every floor and dining options all around. The parking garage is a 5 min walk and the rates are subsidized for hotel guests. Overall a great place to stay.
