Fantastic place to escape from the rat race, relax and reconnect with the things in life that really matter. The hosts where as good as it gets; we were even taken for a night excursion to see glow worms, kuras, cave wetas, native fish and slugs!!! The nearby wetlands park contains ample of info about the areas past and is well worth a visit.

Peacefully quiet trip away

Quite a drive to get there on gravel roads but worth the effort. Make sure you get supplies before going. Good BBQ and cook top. Friendly hosts, took us on lovely glow worm, native fresh water Crays and cave wetas tour at night.

Posted 18 Feb 2017 on HotelsThis is a special wild and beautiful location. The units are cleverly designed, very comfortable and have everything you need. Very friendly and helpful hosts. Fabulous dinner. We especially liked the piece of coast just south of Paturau river.

Perfect hiding spot in the wilderness
Posted 27 Dec 2019 on HotelsA dream comes true - perfect spot to relax, hike and explore the nature. Sally and Giff are the perfect hosts, talk to them about their honey, the glowworms and the swamp, they have a lot of very interesting things to tell.
