The pool looked like a swamp for my entire stay, she told us it was clean but there were days and days where you could see the mosquito eggs floating on the top, dead bugs and plant matter, you couldn’t even see the bottom. I rented this room to relax and sit by the pool and enjoy a clean beach. The beach beds were literally covered in a mountain of sand and the area had a bad smell. One day I was sucking it up I saw one of the staff drag the mattress out of the beach area so she could sun bath in a clean area. sure room 20 has bed bugs, for the price I paid it was 100% a waste.

Nice, but....

Pros: Food. Staff. Sound of crashing waves.
Location: Very touristy. Everything you could possibly want in town. Most things are quite expensive though.
Right on the beach. Staff very accomodating. Great food. $100 room on the ROAD side. VERY small. VERY noisy. No view. I got charged $50 extra for early check-in. Also kinda far from town. In hind sight I would prefer to be able to walk to restaurants, shopping, etc. Haggling with the Mototaxiis was interesting. One started at $20 and ended up at $5. I found out that it should have cost no more than $2. Definitely exchange US dollars into SOLE. Must easier to bargain and get change etc. Would definitely NOT recommend the $100 room. I might rent one of the $125 or $145 rooms someday
