Tv in first room was broken, we were moved room fairly swiftly. Noise at the rear to the hotel as bins were being cleared at night. Rooms and corridors were very dark (due to the style) not my cup of tea. Room was so dark I count see the phone to phone reception about the broken tv. Handwash positioned over the toilet roll (which was poorly positioned anyway) which meant the toilet roll got soaked when you washed your hands. Took ages to be seated for breakfast even though they were not especially busy. Not exactly friendly restaurant staff either. Took ages to order hot breakfast which did come very quickly meaning it just sits under a hot plate in the kitchen when it could be placed out buffet style. Not a huge choice of continental items. Lots of tables not cleared. Overall Didn’t feel like an upmarket stay unfortunately.

This Malamaison is ideally situated for mainline train, bus and Metro links. As well as the hotel restaurant, there is a range of dining opportunities close by. Shopping is within easy walking distance. Staff are welcoming and accommodating.

Service was terrible. Bill was wrong. Decor is questionable. Gym is tiny and no atmosphere. Just some dumbells, a bench, a bike and a couple of running machines. Steak was OK. Breakfast was nice.
