The toilet was running all night, the water in the shower did not drain, the room was too small and the bed was uncomfortable.

Lovely hotel. Modern and fresh. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was perfect and catered for the purpose of my trip, Manchester Marathon. Only downside was non site parking. Understandable given location. Metrolink a short walk at Shudehill for transport around the city too was a great convenience.

dreadful experience at breakfast - very few foods on offer available, dirty tables not cleared, nowhere to sit, coffee machine broken and the poor staff unable to cope. woefully understaffed to manage with the volume of guests.

Good Morning Leanne, Thanks for taking the time to leave some feedback based on your recent stay here at HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS - MANCHESTER CITY CENTRE ARENA. I would first of all like to take the time to apologise for the shortfall of service that you received at breakfast and it's very upsetting to learn that this was the only issue with your stay. Sometimes all guests can decide to join us for breakfast at the same time and this is something we have no control over and therefore the breakfast area can become very busy, this is usually within the last hour of breakfast running. We try and inform people at check-in if the breakfast is going to be busy and the best times to visit, however I apologise if this wasn't the case. It is our biggest importance to get the coffee machine fixed however are currently waiting for the suppliers to get a coffee machine part, this is on order and we are waiting for this to arrive for then these machines to be fixed. We do have a few machines set up and hopefully you was able to grab a coffee from these machines. Our staff work really hard in order to ensure everyone gets a hot breakfast in the morning, and I am pleased this showed however it's upsetting to feel that you found them to be understaffed at this time. I have passed this feedback onto our operations manager who can look at staffing requirements where needed.If ever in the city again, I do hope you would revisit us and give us another chance as this isn't the level of service you, or us expect. Nice central area. Easy to get around. Everything is in walking distance.
