We paid in full and then decided to leave. That’s how bad this place was. Room smelt dank and not just musty dank…full on, I can’t stay here kinda dank, broken furniture …. Come on guys, that shelf needs to be dumped, dirty linens, fan making constant noise, healthy cockroaches,. $15 up charge to turn a/c on. No cold beer at the bar. We’ve had such a great experience in Nicaragua so far but this is definitely a reminder to check rooms before you pay. There is absolutely no ‘deluxe’ at this place

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you and we will improve the maintenance of our rooms, however, the linens were not dirty and this room does not include A/c it is detailed on the booking page, it only has a fan.

Hostel looks OK. Staff was friendly and helpful! Free breakfast was simple, but good.. The sign on the street does not say "los Octavianos", so even standing infront of the door, I had to knock and ask if it was the correct place. Room was tiny with an extra unwanted bed, leaving nearly zero floorspace. Linens hanging on railing outside room, loose boards on stairway, exposed wires in the shower!?! Google maps sent me in the opposite direction, apparently to the old location, so finding the place can be a challenge. Overall my short stay was good, but i will book somewhere else next time.

I didn't stay at this place, they apparently have 2 different names, couldn't find it for a while, no one knew where it is, until finally someone told me the owner has 2 different names for the place, the name on the door is different than the one on the reservation. Its old and raggedy, no one speaks a word of English eventhough it states they do, they don't take CC eventhough they claim they do, and she wanted to charge me double what the reservation said. The place looks nothing like the pictures Scam alert

Tv not work,Pool not clean,no soap no shampoo in the shower no towels.. But for the price with air condition after all not bad, 2 stars but 3 for the price...

Good location. Great air con in room. Basic but has everything you need and good value for money.

HIGHLY NOT-RECOMMENDED. They did not have someone to help us to check in, did not take any debit or credit cards, we needed to look for an ATM for cash. The place is complicated to find because they go by a different name, and that was the first red flag. The worst of everything was that when it started to rain, there was a leak right above the mid of the bed, we notified to one of the assistants and he told us that push the bed instead of giving us another room ( we were paying for the biggest room), plus the manager did not want to assist us , she sent another person instead. BAD, BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE, ROOM CONDITIONS AND MANAGEMEMT

The hostel was great very peaceful and clean staff very friendly but not hugely knowledgeable might have just been language barrier but overall great stay and would return
