Cleanliness is terrible
Posted 11 May 2022 on HotelsWe had the king bed with partial sea view on the 6th floor. Check in was flawless because they allowed us to store our luggage before 2pm. They took our luggages to the room and gave us the key when we got there late in the evening.
The room is spacious with extra day bed by the big window. When we woke up in the AM and let the sun in then we spotted the dirtiness in the room. Big mirror smeared with sticky fingerprints everywhere, under the bed was extremely dusty and dirty, the mini fridge dirty, the bed cover stained and yellowish on the corners.
Bathroom, half of toilet tissue roll, warm water only in the sink but no hot water in the shower. Sink was not wiped down.
The second day was better, after the cleaned up the room. But still no hot water in the shower.
Pros: daily housekeeping and change towels. They offer laundry and iron in bulk so it's alot cheaper.
Breakfast was horrible and cold. The room division needs to check the cleanliness and readiness of the room before assign it to guests.

Great stay at genio manado

Pillows are smelly
Posted 27 Apr 2019 on HotelsThis is a reasonably good hotel for the price and you get the basic air conditioning, ensuite bathroom and a TV. However one thing turned me off completely - the pillows did not seem to be washed at all and had a heavy sweats smell. I could not bear the smell and had to wrap the pillow with a towel in order to mask it. Besides this, the hotel is reasonably ok and you get what you pay for. Breakfast was reasonable but not great.

Non smoking rooms with cigarette smell
Posted 30 Apr 2018 on HotelsThe staff was very kind. The location is not so good if you want to do things by walking.
The room was OK, but even though it was a non smoking room it had a lot of cigarette smell. Asked for another room and it was the same. They just put a spray that attenuated the smell. But towels and sheets were still smelling.

Bad exoerience

I had confirmation booking but staff was unable to find my booking. after i show him my conformation, he said that my booked room is not available because someone just checked in. and they said they can give me smaller room if i want.i had no choice, it was almost 7pm. very weak wifi. breakfast is ok. will not return to this hotel again

Not so good
Posted 19 Dec 2017 on Hotelsi booked double bed and when i arrived,they said that my room is not available. I showed them my booking and they found the booking in their side and they said that it is false booking and their room is full but can give me another small room. Wifi is super weak. Breakfast is ok. Will not stay next time

Pros: Had cold Beer available for purchase.
Location: Close to local shopping district and food stalls.
Enjoyed my stay. Airport transfers easily arranged and on time. Late arrival without problems.
