We loved how central we were while staying at Hostal Dolcevita. The staff were super friendly, and everything was neat and clean. If you are looking for a budget stay in Madrid (think one step above hostel), you would probably enjoy staying here. Be warned though, you will be climbing quite a few stairs to get there!

Helpful staff nearly always available. Very clean and beds made for us each day. On one early morning the lock jammed shut n the only toilets/shower available, with no one inside, and it took time for us to realise that no one was inside; so the facilities were out of use for an hour. However once the reception was staffed the staff sorted out the problem very quickly. Overall this was a very good place to stay, exceptionally convenient, and I would strongly recommend it.

The hostal is really clean and very quite. The only thing is that if you have heavy luggage is really hard to reach it is on the 4/5 floor without lift.

Posted 3 Oct 2023 on HotelsExtremely well located, close by Gran Via and very quiet room. Congratulations to your staff, very helpful and friendly. Only drawback was it was on the third floor and no elevator- so you get your cardio workout! But overall excellent!
