This hotel has, as you drive up, the presence of a royal mansion set onto an overlooking knoll. Inside is a cowboy's comfortable lodging. The rooms are spacious, and east facing rooms provide a wide view of eastern Oregon range. Clean and well maintained, it feels new, even though it is years old. Great breakfast. There is a safeway grocery and an excellent Mexican restaurant across the road. We stay here every time we need accommodations in Madras.

Check in was easy. Friendly staff. The pool and hot tub are open early and late....with 2 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the evening for adults only.

The Inn at Cross Keys Station is exceptional--clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated. The hotel feels upscale yet offers reasonable rates. The breakfast was adequate, and the bed was comfortable.

I liked that the pool area was open late, however, there were people chatting rather loudly on the outside patio, that was right outside our window...
