We were at no.55, which initially i was a bit concerned about. However it was lovely, we had a large room at the front. Noisy in Fri night but ok for the rest of the time. You are right in the old town afterall!

Centrally located in downtown Funchal. Veronica was very helpful and always pleasant. She made suggestions on things to do and how to get around. The area is very busy at night and I could hear some early morning activity in the street below at times. It would not stop me from staying here again.

Nice hotel in good location

Pros: Good location for restaurants and buses
Cons: Breakfast OK but fruit selection tired
Location: Hiking in the mountains
Quiet room with good air-con. Breakfast OK but fruit selection tired

Great little Hotel!
Posted 16 Jun 2018 on OrbitzRight on the most picturesque street in the Old Town complete with a multitude of bars, cafes, restaurants and bakeries within a couple of minutes of walking. A respite from the high rise international chain venues. And Veronica is the best host ever!

Nice hotel very close to everything!

Pros: The location was fantastic and the room was large, bright, well-equipped and modern.
Cons: We had a kettle, tea & coffee in the room but only 2 milk portions and no replacements. Seems weird to have a kettle and only be able to use it once!
Location: Ideal location - cable car, indoor market, Madeira Story, waterfront, bus stops all on our doorstep.Centre of Funchal only a few minutes walk away.
We were not in the main part of the hotel but in a lovely big room further up the street, nearer to the centre of Funchal. When we stepped outside we were right in the heart of the bars and restaurants in the old town and a very short walk to the sea and the centre of town. Don't know what it's like in mid-summer but even though we were in the thick of it, the street sounds didn't bother us.

Great location near the ocean

Pros: Great location and staff, breakfast was excellent.
Cons: Chairs on the ourdoor patio are a bit uncomfortable.
Location: Minutes from the cable car, market and the boardwalk. Literally hundreds of restaurants nearby.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Got there early but were checked in by Maria.
Veronica was so helpfull with any questions we had.

central location

Cons: Reception isn't manned 24 hrs .An emergency contact number would be helpful.
Central location in old town Madeira , within easy reach of restaurants, cable car, seafront ,bus station, fruit and veg market.
Veronica and her team were lovely . They were helpful, very willing to give advice and information, book tours and generally made my stay memorable.
I would recommend staying here to any one who asks.
