Very friendly and helpful reception counter staffs. Stefan even offered us bottled water when we were checking out for us to stay hydrated. The hotel is very near the train station and easy to wheel luggage from the train station to the hotel. The hotel is just opposite Migros and there is also a side entrance to the train station platform from there. Very convenient esp if it is raining. There is airconditioning at the hotel, so we can keep our windows closed, which are quite sound proof. The room was very clean. The only thing is there is still a half flight of steps to carry luggage from the lift to our room. Also, everything in the mini bar is not complimentary except one bottle of water but even that never got replenished. For 3 guests in the room, we were given only one small tube of hair conditioner and this was also never refilled by room service during our 4 nights stay there. Room cleaning staff also did not knock before entry and they entered while we were still in the room. Other than that, the room is well maintained and spotless The hotel doesnt provide luggage rack, so all our luggages had to be on the floor. The placement of the sink is too near the wall and shallow, leading to splashes and the tissue box below the sink to be soaked.

Room was very nice and the hotel is in a near perfect location, however we could clearly hear people above stomping around their room for long periods of time before bed.

Friendly staff. Terrific location, literally across the street from the main train station and within 10 minutes walk to the waterfront and restaurants and sights. Room was clean and bed comfortable. Only issue I had was that they shouldn’t advertise that they have a true gym. It’s really only an elliptical machine and one other. No weights or treadmill or bench. I was looking forward to getting in a workout. But otherwise, this place was very nice.

Well, we have two fitness machines in our hotel, just a very little gym, because we're a city hotel, where our guests aren't asking that much for a gym. Most guests are doing outdoor sport - especially in the warm months. However, we have a partnership with a great gym nearby with discounted entrance fees for our guests. The staff was great. Ready to assist every moment of the day. The hotel is next to a church with loud bell tower however the triple pane windows block most of the “Boing” nose. Some of the rooms require an elaborate pathway including to Room 323. As with most Swiss hotels the buffet breakfast is sufficient but expensive at 20 Swiss Franks per person ($22.60 as of Sept 06, 2023). Overall the hotel being clean, close to the train station, Old Town and having a great shower is a solid 4 stars.

I decided on this hotel based on other customer reviews even though the room rate was quite high for a 4 star boutique hotel. The room was clean but suffocatingly small. Our room had an AC but it didn't function at all to cool down the room temperature. We had a hard time falling asleep as we were literally being oven baked alive. My son and I are very thin and don’t usually get impacted by a normal heat. But inside this hotel room, we were sweating like crazy being confined to a small overpriced hotel room without any fan and fresh air. We asked for a good ole fan but they told us they don’t have any. We couldn't even open the window cuz the noise outside was extremely loud as it’s really right next to the train station and all the bars and restaurants. I was impressed with their soundproofing for sure. Breakfast was included but was a complete disappointment. We’ve stayed in 4 other hotels in Switzerland during our trip, and we enjoyed all other hotel breakfasts. On the second day, we didn't even bother to get our breakfast at the hotel. Disappointed to say that we will not be staying here in this hotel again unless they seriously address their AC problem and have extra fans for their customers.
