Very friendly welcome and service throughout our stay. Food was delicious. The bedrooms and public areas are works of art. Truly lovely.

A very tastefully decorated hotel with great food

Great service and a beautiful hotel. The owner went out of his way to help us with shipping wine to friends. The food was excellent. A minor comment would be some neglect of the property grounds, but overall a great stay.

No air conditioner An employee helped and even called someone owner maybe on FaceTime to fix the problem however hours later still not working until I decided to fix it myself and luckily started to work / the owner knew the problem at 4 pm and only at midnight I got it working after waste my time calling him to find some solution to the problem His answer was we are not perfect I found out that The valve of the air conditioner was shut down

The breakfast was not as good as expected - the fruit was not replenished daily, nor was the pound cake, which sat out uncovered and was dried out. The dinner was way overpriced, nothing special. The grounds were overgrown and messy.

Somewhat disappointing

Very pleasant hotel,but title effort was made by the staff to communicate. We made reservations for dinner, but no explanation was provided about the menu. We had read that the restaurant was pricey, so we told the concierge that we would not pay more than 60 euro, a reasonable amount for dinner for 2, with House wine. The total exceeded that amount, an d only after strong objec tion was the price corrected.

Perfect Stay!

My husband and I were visiting the area where his grandparents had immigrated from in the 1920s. Relais in Contrada seemed like the perfect place to stay while we explored Lucer and Troia. It was! Massimo (the owner) was amazing! We quickly felt like family. The location and property are beautiful and spacious! The restaurant was some of the best food we had in Italy! Highly recommend booking here!

There was nobody at the reception to meet us!

We could not stay at the hotel because when we arrived at 2:30 there was nobody there and we waited until 3:10 and still there was nobody and it was very cold we couldn't wait any longer so we left , this is the first time something like this happened to us! A hotel without any reception !

WOW ! WHAT A GREAT ROOM

Pros: SEE ABOVE..EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE........GREAT MEMORIES...WONDERFUL PLACE A DEFFINATE DO OVER........WHAT DID I LIKE ABOUT THIS HOTEL, EVERYTHING !!.
Cons: THE SHOWER CURTAIN COULD BE IMPROVED, ESPECIALLY ON THE BOTTOM OF THE CURTAIN..
Location: THE LOCATION WAS OUT IN THE COUNTRY..QUIET & WONDERFUL, REMINDING ME OF HOME. WE DROVE A RENTAL CAR, SO WE WENT OUT & ABOUT WITHOUT ANY PROBLEMS.
WE BEGAN BY GETTING LOST & OUR GPS CONTINUING TO SEND US IN A DIFFERENT DIRECTION, ALWAYS DOWN TOWN WITH NARROW ROADS, ETC........UPON ASKING FOR ASSISTANCE, WE CALLED THE HOTEL & THE OWNER CAME TO PICK US UP & FOLLOWED HIM TO THE COUNTRY & THE LOCATION WAS FABULOUS. WE HAD A GREAT DINNER THERE ON THE FIRST NIGHT. THE DINNER WAS EXCELLENT BUT WE WORKED WITHOUT A MENUE & THIS WAS CHALLENGING FOR US. (WE'RE ON A BUDGET) NO MENUE MEANS MORE MONEY GOING OUT FOR THE FOOD & THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED. WE PAID A LOT MORE THAN WE HAD EXPECTED FOR THE MEAL, WE ASKED FOR THE OWNER TO STOP SERVING US BUT WHAT WE HAD WAS EXCELLENT. BREAKFAST WAS FANTASTIC & DELICIOUS & ACCOMMODATIONS WERE WONDERFUL. THE ROOM WAS FABULOUS, CLEAN & HAD A WONDERFUL TERRACE JUST OUTSIDE THE ROOM. ENJOYABLE & RELAXING EXPERIENCE. ONE LITTLE GLITCH WAS IN THE SHOWER, THE SHOWER CURTAINS NEED ATTENDING AT THE BOTTOM FOR SURE! PERHAPS THIS CAN BE TAKEN CARE OF QUICKLY, & IT DOES NEED TO BE AKEN CARE OF. FANTASTIC PLACE, AWESOME EXPERIENCE, GREAT FOOD, FRIENDLINESS I WILL RATE IS A 9.9 & A DEFINITE DO OVER........WOW ! WAY TO GO ! THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES & BOOK ON LUCERA, I WILL SHARE IT WITH MY ITALIAN FRIENDS......

owners at war

Location: airbase amendola, foggia
Building used to be owned by two owners and be one hotel. The owners are at war and hate each other now and splite the already small hotel into two split sides. This makes for a wierd stay believe me. the one person that works there does not speak english and the food at the restaurant was soso. I normally don't rate things but had to on this one. i would recommend to keep looking.
