Truly family and pet friendly
Posted 5 Aug 2022 on HotelsWhat a delightful spot, for us and our furry friend. A truly family and pet friendly hotel, in a small town beside a river. Pretty gardens for a stroll down to the water, before drinks on the terrace and dinner in the bistro garden. Lots of provision for babies and children, including a small changing area with books and toys. There was even a very smart padded bed provided for the dog! Only thing not to like are the paper cups in the bathroom. They may be ‘green’, but I didn’t enjoy drinking from brown cardboard.

Lovely hotel and very attentive staff, but the restaurant menu has become very expensive. €36 for a starter seems a lot, but never the less, food is good.

Pros: The welcoming staff and the quality of the food.
Cons: The lift could benefit from modernisation.
We keep coming back to the Ricordeau. That speaks for itself.

Overnight - wish it was longer
Posted 7 Oct 2015 on HotelsAt first I thought the location was remote but it is actually in a very smart town. The restaurant was very good and we had a meal that must have had seven courses. Our room was spacious and quiet, even though we were at the front of the hotel. The owners of the hotel were first-class hosts. Must go again.
