Fireside Inn is a lovely, restful, rustic retreat local near a mountain river. The Inn has its own ducks enjoying a small stream and little duck pound.
George’s Grill offers great food. Try the baked fish in banana leaves or the tasty breakfasts.
Had a lovely walk up the hill to see waterfalls, coffee trees, and many flowers. Or walk down hill to Boquete and enjoy flowers and rock walls

The room was reasonable for the price. The only problem was that we were billed twice.

Did not stay

Pros: Nothing!
Cons: Everything!
Location: Very poorly located. Far from everything and no transportation available.
Room booked was not available, and what was offered was a nightmare involving climbing very unstable steps to a dark, filthy room, we got out of there as quickly as our feet would take us.

Friendly staff
Posted 3 Jan 2018A very rustic place has amazing charm ! Pretty neat seeing all the farm animals. The food was great . Room was a little cool at night but for $45 a night it’s definitely worth it :)

Reasonably priced and quiet.
Posted 25 Jan 2017Excellent food at the restaurant. If you want basic lodging, but superlative, fresh food from a gourmet chef / owner, this is the place to stay.

Nice place with good food
Posted 15 Jan 2017We really enjoyed our stay here. A big thank you to George and his family for those 4 four days/nights. Very welcoming place. The food is made from his own garden. I recommend everythings on the menu, especially the coconut shrimps and the soups. Merci beaucoup George!

Primitive Accomodations, Great Location
Posted 4 Jan 2017This was our second trip to Boquete, and we can enthusiastically recommend it to those looking for a unique back-to-nature experience. Birding, hiking, rock climbing, rafting are all nearby. As far as the Fireside Inn, the location is lovely, nestled by a stream and with wonderful views of the mountains. The charm ended at our door, as our homemade "cabin" was dark, poorly-lit, and damp. We ended up with some sort of sinus congestion during our visit.
We ate one meal in the attached Georges Grill, which was adequate but somewhat pricey. Also, the wood-fired pizza oven was not drafting properly, so we left reeking of creosote and smoke.
The owner/chef George is a nice fellow, but the place could benefit from a little modernization. Still, for the area, it's inexpensive.
