Beautiful hotel in a former bank building. Nice room, restaurant and bar. Great roof deck with pool. There isn't much to see or do in the immediate area, and downtown LA in general has some very sketchy blocks.

I have never felt more unwelcome at a hotel in 25 years of extensive travel for work. The management here has no idea what customer service is. This is especially true of the Assistant Manager Skyler who is rude, condescending, and has zero listening skills. The hotel itself is pretty but non functional. Issues include: elevator lights out, no dresser for clothes in bedrooms, no basic amenities such as hooks for towels, coffee maker, and refrigerator for beverages, glass drinking glasses not changed in four days, housekeepers talking loudly in hallways, bar/restaurant closing early, slow car valet service (for $60 a day), etc. I suggest coming here for a drink to see the beautiful lobby, but stay elsewhere. The hotel management is terrible and should undergo extensive customer service training or be fired.

The booking indicates parking is available, yet it fails to specify that it's valet parking at a cost of USD 60/night plus tax. The advertisement and booking are misleading. It should accurately disclose that the parking is valet and its nightly cost, as this is crucial information for travelers when booking hotels.

This hotel is absolutely beautiful, staff is very friendly, it’s in a very centric location, and it’s very comfortable to stay. I stayed with my daughter for 6 days and we loved it!

DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU WANT TO LIVE IN A DIRTY DUSTY NASTY HOTEL. We arrived late at night tired paid my earned hard money to a hotel that was nasty… the room was dirty, hair everywhere on the floor, bed and towels that we had. Dust everywhere, the room had a weird smell, I even called front desk to ask if the windows open. Hair ties on ground and bathroom. There was a big black dirt that looks like a dead cockroach… ripped sheets and stained. I told front desk and I apparently spoke with the head front desk manager said this is not their standards and they will clean it for me and we will go and double check to make sure the room is clean. I came back after hours to the room allllll the dirt is still were it is but my bed was made lol I went and complained again and they said they are so sorry and they will clean it. Finally on the third day it was clean. The location also has a lot of homeless people it’s scary to leave the hotel at night. The front door staff were the most welcoming. Other than that I have nothing good to say. Also I reached out to Expedia for refunds for the days that my room was filthy and the hotel said they can’t refund due to policy. But so quick to up charge you on stupid destination fees and to take your money for bookings
