Cheap and cheerful

It was a very cheap hotel and the price accurately reflected the facilities. The bathroom was shared, in the corridor, the room was next to the boiler which switched on very loudly and pumped out the fumes into my room. The entrance to the place as well as the village is not easy to get to, especially in darkness. The self-service continental breakfast selection for an extra 4 Euros was pretty depressing. Otherwise, everything was fine.

Stop off on my way home

Pros: I liked the location, size, a quiet and dark night, all I wanted was a good nights sleep and I got it. I also got a comfy armchair, writing desk etc.
Cons: The ground floor room has a big bathroom nearby but through the shared lounge and kitchen. It was no problem, just unusual.
Location: Colombey les deux Eglises nearby and a large national park with lakes and birdwatching are my aims for today, before a hotel nearer to Calais.
This was a lovely surprise, a gîte in a pretty village. It was a little hard to find, I was tired at the end of a day’s driving, but it is a gem. A friendly welcome and a big, comfortable room with a big bed and a bath were exactly what I needed for a stopover after a week camping. This is called a ‘cottage’, but it had four rooms, three of them upstairs which I did not see (or hear). My French is good enough to have a conversation with the owners, who have very little English.

Very nice welcoming hosts-Lovely quiet rural location-Will definitely use again when heading south.Will stay for a couple of days next time to explore the area.All the best to Annette and Georges,

Séjour d une nuit. Jolie chambre, très propre,monsieur très accueillant avec même un coucou de madame avant de partir. Rien à dire. Séjour très agréable.

Bien, accueil sympa, pro, toutes commodités, dommage que le téléviseur de la chambre soit si petit compte tenu de son éloignement du lit...

Gemütlich und herzlich auf dem Land

Die Unterkunft liegt in ruhiger und idyllischer Lage in der schönen Champagne. Sie wird von einem sehr herzlichen älteren Paar betrieben, welche sich sehr um das Wohl der Gäste kümmern. Die Unterkunft ist sehr gemütlich und rustikal eingerichtet, alles war sauber und wir fanden es wunderschön. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.
