Nice enough hotel. Stay would have been very good if the booking through Expedia that quoted free parking was honoured. I understand the hotel may have changed to Ibis Budget from Travelodge since I they should have sorted this. The staff stuck to me having to pay the fee and hid behind the Expedia intermediary Mikki Travel that the booking went through. So I am now in the process of waiting for Expedia to decide whether to refund £13 for parking. And the hotel is still listed as Travelodge with free parking although it's has an Ibis photo.
They also have a smoke alarm in the room above the bed with 2 red flashing lights every 3 seconds which in the dark of night is bright enough to affect sleep.
My friends in another room had a room alarm button near the head of the bed so when they moved in the night it went off. So then they had a knock on the door in the night checking they were OK.
Ibis may need to look at these issues. Otherwise the room and choice of breakfast foods was fine.

Hotel is not even called the Travelodge anymore—it's an Ibis Budget—so it took a long time to find. Very unpleasant, grubby hotel.

I stayed for one night prior to attending a seminar in anther, much more expensive, hotel. My room was clean if a little tatty but very good value. I was concerned that the proximity to the airport might be a problem but I wasn't disturbed by either the planes or other guests leaving to catch early flights.

Pros: As above and it is just a few minutes from Heathrow.
Cons: The sound quality on the Tv was awful so that could be looked at.
Location: Very close to Heathrow and as we were flying next morning didn't look for anything else to do.
Stayed overnight before morning flight. Beds very comfortable and room well equipped with tea and coffee. Had a light bite in the restaurant which was very tasty and the service was quick and courteous.

Great Hotel for value
Posted 2 Oct 2010 on TravelocityI can't really complain at all about this hotel.. My room was clean and I had a good view and comfortable bed. The breakfast was good. The only problem was at 3 a.m. when the fire alarm went off and had to rush downstairs.. in a half sleepy daze.. and it turned out to be false.. someone set it off on purpose. Their bus to the airport was convenient. The staff was friendly.
I do have 1 complaint actually. It would have been nice to at least have a phone in the room as they had a menu to order room service from but no phone! and my room was quite far from the reception desk so I wasn't able to take advantage of that.
