Loved the location of this property. I had a small child & we were in Hyde Park/Kensington Gardens every day. It’s also well connected by tube & buses to everywhere you want to go in Central London. Queensway has a myriad of places to eat & is a short walk away. The hotel is older but kept clean so good value for London. The cleaning lady on level 2 was especially nice to us every day.

Good, safe area. Excellent breakfast. Restaurant no longer open for evening meal. Safe too low to use easily. Carpet stained. No fridge. No phone in room.

This is great area of London, easy to get to by underground or walk from Paddington. Kensington Gardens are a block away and into Hyde Park walk all the way to Buckingham Palace.

this was our third stay at the Lancaster Gate Hotel. We chose to stay here again for the location, proximity to the tube station, cleanliness, and great staff. We were quite disappointed in how much the hotel has deteriorated, it is looking tired. We were given room 122, which was relatively nice, but small, as most London hotels are. My husband went in the shower on our first morning, and when he turned it on, the water spewed out of the shower head, all over the bathroom, and on the ceiling. We were then given room 301, which had a working shower, but the room was smaller. The toilet in both rooms did not flush very well. The breakfast, at 13.50 pounds per person, was adequate, but not great, and, to our minds, very expensive for what we received. .The breakfast room is very crowded. Having said all of this, the front desk staff were very friendly, and accommodating. We probably won't be back to London for a couple of years, but we definitely will not stay at the Lancaster Gate Hotel again. :(
