filthy, broken fittings, bare ceiling light bulbs, lights not functioning, mould on damp surfaces, dry ones coated with thick dust

It's a great location, around the corner from bus stop, Charles Dickens museum and lots of restaurants. It's very old but the bed was comfortable. The bathroom is TINY and the breakfast is simple. We only slept there so it didn't matter. We walked and rode a bus all over London. I got the impression it's a family that bought this place and it needs work but they are making it go :)

This place is a dump. The TV is an 8” screen that doesn’t connect to any service, the hotel tries to charge £2.50 for wifi (it’s 2024!), the “breakfast” is a pile of stale cereal and toast with instant coffee, the room smells like chlorine on arrival and the bathroom is something out of an old caravan. The only positive thing I can say about this hole is the location is great and dead quiet at night.

Didn't stay in the hotel I booked as they own another one 2 doors down. I was in a basement room that was very musty and smelt (but didn't see) damp. Bathroom was so small it wasn't useable. Couldn't even use the toilet if the door was closed and I'm only 5'6". Location good, blue lion pub around the corner was great
