The staff speaks good English and is super helpful. The check in process was painless and the room was super clean and nice. There is a small pool at the back of the hotel but I didn’t use. The breakfast selection is rather less but it’s still good considering where I was. Great hotel ! I enjoyed staying there.

Can do better

Check in was a lil chaotic because we got there and it seems like they weren’t expecting us because we weren’t in their system. When they finally found us they didn’t get the updated reservation. I just wish they communicated with us what was happening instead of having us seat and wonder what was going on after a long travel with a 1yr old. When we were checking out they printed us the bill and it had the hotel charge again even though everything was already paid for. Just lots of technical problems. We did book this through hotels.com so that might have been the problem. Very cute Afro decorated hotel with local art as decor. There are mosquitos were any & everywhere in the hotel. The room AC is not cold enough even though it was on 16 so we couldn’t keep the mosquitoes out because it wasn’t cold enough. The restaurant is overpriced for what you get. Overall I just feel like they could do better. Though their WiFi has to be one of the better WiFi I’ve ever used in Africa. The airport shuttle is also a plus.

Unprofessional staff and service

The hotel is clean but our Air did not work for three days. The staff was no accommodating in moving us of fixing the problem. $180. a night for a room that does not have air is unacceptable. My wife and I both were sick due to the poor air conditions. Once we left the room, all symptoms left. We will most likely not return to Onomo.
