We stayed 3 nights at the hotel (2 adults and 1 year old kid). The sofa bed was ok for our daughter to sleep, therefore not having a kot was not a problem. The room is spacious , nicely decorated with all the standard amenities. For reference we stayed in the Stodola building which is right next to the main building with the reception, which has lake view. We were viewing the main road , but it was not noisy. This building has the restaurant, where breakfast is served. The breakfast had plenty of options and it was really tasty. We also had dinner one day in the restaurant and it was really good value for money , compared to other restaurants in the area.The location is ideal if you want to visit the whole Lipno region. It is right next to the lift that takes you to the mountain and to the tourist office.You can also drive easily to other places of the region and walk or bike by the waterfront.You might need parking on the hotel parking which is charged with 200 czk per day. A plus of the accomodation was the fact that with the key card of the room you have small discount on entering the ski area ( lift , the lookout tower or the kids area) The staff of the hotel was really helpful and friendly. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and we definitely recommend the hotel for visiting Lipno.

poor customer service

On the day I was supposed to arrive my daughter fell ill with chicken pox. By policy I couldn't cancel anymore. Nevertheless, I requested the hotel to make an exception and allow to reschedule the booking considering my reason for the late cancellation. I emailed and called the hotel a number of times. With few exceptions, the staff had very poor English skills which made communication very challenging. My request was never really considered, I was shown no sympathy or compassion. The only response I ever got was that the as per the hotels cancellation policy I do not get a refund. I even offered to pay any difference in the room rate, but to no avail. I also note, that I have booked one of the most expensive room. I am an experienced traveler, this has happened to me before. In all previous cases my hotels were understanding and have allowed rescheduling or even refunding. All in all, very poor communication and customer service from Hotel Element Lipno - would not book again

Due to the high occupancy of the hotel, NON REF reservations are unfortunately subject to cancellation according to the cancellation conditions chosen during the reservation. The colleague with whom you dealt with this matter followed the instructions. Each reservation and request is handled individually according to the given situation of the hotel. Since you really canceled the reservation at the last minute and it was a stay at the end of the month, your request could not be granted. The Colleagues also offered the option that someone else would come to stay instead of you, but unfortunately you did not use this option. If you do decide to visit our hotel, please choose direct booking so that we can offer you a 20% discount as compensation for the missed stay. This discount applies only once to one stay. The discount cannot be used repeatedly. This is really an exceptional situation.Thank you for your understanding.
