The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel is older but still has all the amenities you need. The room was very large with amazing views.

Pros: The friendly staff
Location: Leukerbad is famous for its thermal waters and nice therms and is a mountain skiing resort
It was a nice stay in Leukerbad. The hotel is located in a few minutes walking of all the attractions: the therms, the spa and the lift. The breakfasts were very nice. We took 2 dinners and were greatly satisfied. The restaurant is pleasant and nicely decorated, the fireplace makes it very comfortable.

Lovely spacious hotel in beautiful surroundings
Posted 18 Dec 2016From the moment I checked in at The Astoria, I was made to feel very welcome and at home. The staff took a personal interest in me and were very accommodating to my request that my son spend two nights in my 'room' which turned out to be so much more...bathroom, corridor with plenty of storage space, bedroom, living/dining area with tv, dining table and armchairs, kitchenette and balcony with spectacular views. Everything was very clean and tidy.
Breakfast was in the continental style, as expected, but provided a wide range of choices, both savoury and sweet.
When I left, I was offered a car to the bus station which was only a 5 minute walk away. Nothing was too much trouble.
The location and hotel itself were very quiet but only a few minutes walk from all the town's amenities.
